ERA-NET Cofund on Blue Bioeconomy – Unlocking the potential of aquatic bioresources (BlueBio)

Funded by H2020, BlueBio is a five and a half-year project scheduled to conclude this May. The project seeks to determine the most effective means of introducing bio-based goods and services to the market through the creation of a coordinated R&D funding programme to improve Europe’s standing in the blue bioeconomy.

date:  08/05/2024

One of BlueBio’s accomplishments is the creation of a database containing research projects in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture, seafood processing and marine biotechnology that were sponsored both nationally and internationally and implemented between 2003 and 2022.

The database makes it easier to share and trade research-derived knowledge and technologies. Additionally, it assists users in understanding what has previously been researched and examined, helping to prevent overlaps with existing or previous initiatives.
